On a part-time basis, assist local construction services team with the following tasks:
- Monitor construction activities on transportation, civil, and municipal infrastructure projects to ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications.
- Document daily field and inspection activities, including material sampling, testing, and quantity measurements.
- Assist with preconstruction meetings, progress updates, and conflict resolution sessions; prepare and negotiate construction change orders.
- Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and SEH team members.
- May assist in development of proposals, estimating project budgets and schedules and completing constructability reviews.
- This opportunity is open to candidates residing in the Rochester, MN area.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in the construction field.
- OSHA-10 certification required or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Possession of applicable DOT technical certifications or ability to obtain within six months.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and navigate rough terrain on construction sites.
- Willingness to travel for team meetings, client consultations, and on-site observations.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with AutoCAD or Micro Station.
- Familiarity with Blue Beam software.
This position requires an MVR records check verifying that you possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record which meets the requirements of SEH’s Driving Program.
Base Compensation and BenefitsBase compensation is expected to be in the range of $50 and $55 based on skill set and experience. Additional benefits include a comprehensive benefits package.
