Position Summary

Knutson Construction is seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects from planning through completion. This role is responsible for managing project budgets, schedules, procurement, contract administration, risk management, and project team coordination. The Project Manager works closely with clients, subcontractors, design professionals, and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all construction and project closeout phases.
  • Develop, maintain, and oversee project schedules.
  • Monitor project budgets, cost reports, and financial performance.
  • Lead project team meetings and monthly reporting.
  • Coordinate procurement and project buyout processes.
  • Manage project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Review contracts and identify potential risks or exposures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and quality control standards.
  • Maintain client relationships and support business development efforts.
  • Participate in industry and community networking events.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of commercial construction experience.
  • Knowledge of project management and construction accounting systems.
  • Experience with contract negotiations and risk management.
  • Ability to manage project budgets, schedules, permits, and subcontractor performance.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Construction-related certifications and training are highly desirable.
