Construction Representative

Overview

SEH is seeking a Construction Representative to join our Construction Services team. This employee-owned firm emphasizes respect, flexibility, accountability, and a diverse workforce focused on delivering value to clients.

• Monitor construction activities on transportation, civil, and municipal infrastructure projects to ensure compliance with approved plans and specifications.
• Document daily field and inspection activities, including material sampling, testing, and quantity measurements.
• Assist with preconstruction meetings, progress updates, and conflict resolution sessions; prepare and negotiate construction change orders.
• Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and SEH team members.
• May assist in development of proposals, estimating project budgets and schedules, and completing constructability reviews.

• Essential:
  High School Diploma or GED.
• Essential:
  Previous experience in the construction field.
• Essential:
  Ability to work in various weather conditions and navigate rough terrain on construction sites.
• Essential:
  Willingness to travel for team meetings, client consultations, and on-site observations.
• Essential:
  Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Preferred:
  Possession of applicable DOT technical certifications or ability to obtain within six months.
• Preferred:
  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Preferred:
  Experience with AutoCAD or Micro Station.
• Preferred:
  Familiarity with Blue Beam software.
• Other: MVR records check verifying a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets SEH’s Driving Program requirements.

This opportunity is open to candidates residing in Rochester, MN.
