Senior Project Manager

RG Construction Services is a commercial wall and ceiling union contractor that primarily serves the Greater Chicago Area, Northern and Central Illinois, Eastern Iowa, Southern Wisconsin, Ohio and Northern Indiana, however, has established relationships and is now executing work throughout the U.S.

Role Description

The Senior Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Rochester, MN on the Mayo Clinic - Bold.

Unbound project. This role will lead and help support the RG onsite team working as a trade partner to the Gilbane | McGough Joint Venture. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing project planning, coordinating with field teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, and overseeing logistics and expediting to keep materials and labor aligned with project timelines. The Senior Project Manager conducts site inspections, monitors compliance with safety and union requirements, and resolves issues that may impact cost, quality, or schedule.

The role also involves client communication, progress reporting, risk management, and mentoring project staff to support successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience within a like firm to RG Construction OR GC is preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience (is preferred)
• Demonstrated proficiency in Project Management, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
• Experience as an Expeditor and in Expediting activities to ensure timely delivery of materials and coordination of trades.
• Hands-on experience with Inspection processes to verify quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications and codes.
• Strong skills in Logistics Management to oversee material flow, equipment allocation, and site coordination.
• Proven track record managing commercial construction projects, preferably in wall and ceiling or related trades.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with capacity to make decisions under time and budget constraints.
• Proficiency with construction project management software and common office productivity tools.
