Position: Project Scheduler (Multiple Projects)

RG Construction Services is a commercial wall and ceiling union contractor that primarily serves the Greater Chicago Area, Northern and Central Illinois, Eastern Iowa, Southern Wisconsin, Ohio and Northern Indiana, however, has established relationships and is now executing work throughout the U.S.

Role Description

The Project Scheduler (Multiple Projects) is a full-time, hybrid role. At minimum, half of each month from 2027 through 2030, this position will need to be onsite in Rochester, MN. Adjustments to this (more or less) will occur through the life of the project, depending on project demands.

This position is responsible for developing, maintaining, and updating project schedules for multiple commercial construction projects, ensuring timelines are realistic and aligned with project scopes. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather schedule inputs, track progress, identify variances, and implement corrective actions. The Project Scheduler prepares schedule reports, forecasts, and dashboards, and communicates schedule status and risks to stakeholders.

The role also involves supporting resource allocation planning, incorporating change orders, and continually improving scheduling processes and tools to support on-time, high-quality project delivery.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in project scheduling for construction or similar industries, including developing and managing schedules for multiple concurrent projects.
  • Proficiency with scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent) and strong skills in Excel or other data analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of commercial construction processes, sequencing, and trade coordination, with the ability to translate project plans and specifications into detailed schedules.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills to manage competing deadlines and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with project teams, field staff, and leadership to resolve scheduling issues.
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills for identifying risks, evaluating schedule impacts, and proposing practical solutions.
  • Ability to work on-site in Rochester, MN and regularly interact with field operations and project stakeholders.
  • Relevant education such as a degree or coursework in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field; equivalent practical experience will be considered.
  • Familiarity with union construction environments and regional market practices is beneficial.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in scheduling and project controls.
