We are seeking a creative, collaborative, and mission-driven Communications & Creative Media Specialist who can help tell the story of what God is doing through Christ Community Church. This individual will combine graphic design, video production, photography, digital communications, and brand stewardship to support ministries and advance the church's mission.
Position SummaryThe Communications Design and Media Specialist is responsible for developing and executing design and media tactics that support the ministries, events, and mission of Christ Community Church.
This role creates and manages a wide range of visual, digital, and multimedia content, including graphic design, video production, website content, social media assets, sermon support materials, and church-wide communications. The ideal candidate is both creative and strategic, capable of producing high-quality content while collaborating effectively with ministry leaders and staff.
Key Responsibilities Creative Design & Brand Management- Design print, and digital communication materials that support church ministries, events, and initiatives.
- Develop creative assets including promotional graphics, signage, presentations, brochures, publications, and ministry resources.
- Maintain and protect the visual identity and brand standards of Christ Community Church.
- Ensure consistency across all communication channels and ministry materials.
- Stay current with design trends, branding strategies, and communication best practices.
- Plan, film, edit, and distribute video content for ministry initiatives, worship services, events, testimonies, and social media platforms.
- Create compelling visual stories that highlight life transformation, ministry impact, and church engagement.
- Produce sermon support videos and multimedia content for worship experiences.
- Manage video projects from concept through final delivery.
- Assist in developing and implementing church-wide communication strategies.
- Create and manage content for social media platforms and digital communication channels.
- Monitor communication trends and recommend innovative approaches to improve engagement.
- Develop content that effectively reaches both church attendees and the surrounding community.
- Support communication campaigns and ministry promotions across multiple platforms.
- Maintain and update the church website to ensure content remains current, accurate, and engaging.
- Manage website graphics, event information, ministry pages, and digital resources.
- Ensure website content aligns with overall communication goals and church branding standards.
- Evaluate and improve digital user experience and online engagement opportunities.
- Collaborate with ministry leaders to identify communication needs and priorities.
- Support ministry communication requests within established timelines and departmental priorities.
- Coordinate communication efforts across multiple ministry areas to ensure alignment and consistency.
- Strategize with and share responsibility with Communications Teammates.
- Participate in the development and ongoing improvement of church communication strategies, systems, and processes.
- Research emerging communication, design, video, and digital media trends.
- Recommend and implement improvements that increase communication effectiveness and efficiency.
- Support special projects and additional communication initiatives as assigned.
- Demonstrated experience in graphic design and communications, video production, or related creative fields.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, or similar tools).
- Proficiency with Microsoft's suite of office products.
- Strong graphic design, branding, and visual communication skills.
- Some experience in planning, filming, and editing video content, with a passion to learn and develop personal videography skills.
- Understanding of social media platforms, digital marketing principles, and online engagement strategies.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
- Photography and editing experience, with a desire to hone your craft.
