  • Establishes clear and open channels of communication with all stakeholders including students, families, principal, staff, and community partners
  • Plans collaboratively with stakeholders for program structure, content, evaluation, and overall management
  • Works with stakeholders to develop appropriate learning experiences in academics, enrichment, wellness, and other areas of personal development
  • Works with stakeholders to create a safe and welcoming after school environment
  • Works with stakeholders to develop and offer opportunities for family engagement
  • Acts as the direct supervisor of program staff
  • Recruits staff to the after school program
  • Reviews and verifies accuracy of staff timesheets
  • Resolves and documents injuries and behavioral issues, communicating directly with parents/guardians as needed
  • Supervises the input, monitoring and reporting of student attendance and other data
  • Participates in quality assessments and provides insight into program improvement
  • Completes reports about the goals and progress of the program as required by the Minnesota Department of Education
  • Coordinates and supervises use of district facilities, equipment, and bus transportation
  • Inventories district equipment and communicates when new purchases are necessary
  • Participates in 21st Century Grant-related professional development as appropriate and ensures program staff are familiar with the aims and objectives of the 21st Century Grant
  • Should have a school-day assignment in the program’s location
  • Demonstrated abilities in collaboration, program planning, and coordination
  • Experience working with youth
  • Knowledge of quality assessments is preferred but training is provided
