• Minnesota Special education teaching license required.
• Previous ESY experience preferred.
• Regular, on-time attendance is required.
• Successful special education teaching background required.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent organization skills.
• Familiar with students at the site.
• Demonstrated Educational Leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with staff, students, and parents.
• Primary Special Education contact for building Assistant Administrator.
• Collect attendance for students in ESY.
• Participates in planning prior to start of program.
• Prepares student classroom assignments and monitors enrollment and utilizes OLA for attendance.
• Directs and helps manage behavior and discipline.
• Coordinates and supervises student use of facilities, bus transportation, and related issues.
• 13 student contact days, attendance and bus communication, and mandatory planning/meeting time.
• Serves as parent contact for students in ESY.
• Use and promote instructional strategies as defined by academic program.
• Provide safe and positive learning environment.
• Use data to make decisions regarding instruction and interventions.
• Develop relationships and encourage positive self-efficacy for all students.
