  • September – May: 20.25 hours per week with prep, Monday – Thursday
  • Summer schedule: TBD;
    Subject to change, but less than September – May schedule, Monday – Wednesday

$36.30 – $48.14 per hour, based on level of education and full years of licensed teaching experience.

Qualifications

Current appropriate Minnesota teaching license required: K-12 license, Adult Education Teaching License or a person who has a bachelor's or master's degree in English.

Classes Include

Writing for College and Careers II, D2L, Collaborate with instructor for the English 1117 at RCTC, writing lab/homework help for English 1117 at RCTC.

Job Summary
  • Teach developmental writing skills to prepare students to transition to RCTC.
  • Teach students the D2L platform.
  • Collaborate with the RCTC instructor and provide wrap‑around homework support for the English 1117.
Required Skills
  • Prior successful experience in urban, multicultural education desirable.
  • Demonstrates continued professional development through coursework, research, peer collaboration, and/or job-embedded staff development.
  • Working knowledge of the subject matter, classroom management techniques, current researched best practices and strategies, as well as students' learning styles and needs, both academic and affective.
