Required Qualifications:
Licensed by the state of MN in DAPE, grades K-12 Ability to work collaboratively and positively with a multi-disciplinary team Ability to employ high expectations for students using a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media Knowledge and experience with due process procedures Excellent communication skills Responsibilities:
Assist with developing student Individualized Education Plan (IEP); assists case manager in establishing students' goals and objectives; completes appropriate components of a student's IEP related to DAPE Provide direct special education instruction to students identified for DAPE services Perform DAPE educational assessments of students as required Participate in IEP meetings as required Maintain documentation related to third party billing Maintain and complete progress notes, consultation notes, and/or letters Develop and demonstrate culturally responsive practices that lead to equitable outcomes for all students, particularly those groups of students that are over-represented in special education Demonstrate current knowledge of instructional best practices and methodology for DAPE Collaborate with others to plan, teach and support students with disabilities in the least restrictive environment Advocate for students with disabilities to ensure high levels of achievement Promote and develop strong communication and collaboration with staff, parents and other professionals Other related duties as assigned.
