Saber Connection Site Coordinator
The Saber Connection Site Coordinator is the on-site program lead for the Saber Connection program. This is a 1.0 FTE position, working approximately 260 work days at 8 hours/day. Hours will vary based on site needs, Monday through Friday. This position will work a split shift. Five positions available beginning August 24, 2026.
The Site Coordinator assists in the planning, development, and coordination of the Saber Connection program at a site. This position gives work direction to staff and leads programming provided before and after school and during the summer at a site, ensuring a safe, engaging, and high-quality experience for all participants. This position is actively in the ratio supporting students.
Essential Duties:
- Assist in the planning and development of curriculum
- Supervise and implement daily activities
- Provide leadership with program responsibilities including snack, paperwork, attendance, discipline, and communication
- Give work direction to staff onsite
- Assist in interviewing, hiring, evaluating and training staff for site
- Process time cards for staff
- Collaborate and build positive relationships with schools and district staff
- Build relationships and support school as needed
- Ensure high quality customer service
- Work directly with large and small groups of children
- Ensure children follow established rules and report concerns to Program Specialist
- Provide welcoming environment for families in Saber Connection
- Document incidents or accidents on correct forms
- Follow district, program and certification policies and procedures
- Represent Shakopee Public Schools, Community Education and Saber Connection in a positive manner
- Other duties as assigned

Pay rate- $42,720 - $91,000, typical hiring range is $48,000 to $55,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
Qualifications:
Three years experience in the area of community education, preschool and/or school-age care, or similar programs. Experience at the building level, preferred. Ability to multitask while maintaining a positive demeanor. Post secondary coursework in education or related area preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree is required, preferably in a related field. A combination of education and related experience will be considered.
