Assistant Teacher Position

We are looking for Assistant Teachers for full-time, part-time at multiple locations in the Rochester area!
This position is responsible for organizing and maintaining the classroom environment and materials, activity preparation, contributing to curriculum plans, daily participation in program with children, and other activities and duties necessary to support the teacher and classroom. This position also directs small group time and manages a caseload of 4-5 children including documentation and assessments.
Qualifications- Minimum of a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential with the desire to continue their education. Candidates who have CDA must be willing to continue education in Early Childhood or a related field.
- Head Start and Families First of Minnesota offers continuing education opportunities for individuals seeking to obtain an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in the field of Early Childhood Education.
- Experience in early childhood is preferred, but not necessary.
- Must have or be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.
- Experience with Head Start parents preferred.
- Base Pay $21.76 / Hour.
- 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday 7:00 AM-4:30 PM with occasional evening events.
