Mentor And Induction Teacher Leader

As the mentor, you support our mentors through collaborative efforts. You create, refine, share, and follow up with monthly checklists (with support from the mentor and induction planning team). You provide occasional support to mentors (with articles, videos, meetings, or other resources). You support the facilitation of the development of the mentor program and assist administrators in pairing mentors with new teachers.

As the induction teacher leader, you support our new teachers through facilitating regular new teacher cohort meetings, check-ins with new staff about their transition to Mahtomedi, collaborating with union leaders of the New Teacher Support Network, and helping to plan and facilitate new teacher workshops. Time commitment: approximately 5-8 hours per month (may be less depending on the time of year).
