Join Pearce as a skilled and motivated Generator Technician and contribute to maintaining and repairing commercial generators on cell‑phone towers. Ideal for independent, self‑starters, this role offers opportunities for growth and requires travel within your region.
Responsibilities- Maintain, diagnose, and repair generator systems, install and replace components, and perform upgrades.
- Conduct performance checks and regular maintenance, adhering to blueprints and design specifications.
- Install and test fuel, water supply lines, pumps, electrical wiring, and controls for proper operation.
- Respond promptly to generator alarms and be available for 24/7 on‑call duty if necessary.
- Ensure safety and awareness of potential hazards in installations and maintenance of power supply equipment; attend all safety and training meetings.
- Minimum of one year of generator and electrical maintenance experience; two or more years preferred.
- Knowledge of generator installations, maintenance, and repair, including electronic, mechanical, and electrical components. Moderate computer skills required.
- Basic understanding of FCC, FAA, EPA, and OSHA regulations.
- Electrical experience preferred.
- Compliance with OSHA standards and ability to pass a DOT physical.
- Capability to lift over 50 pounds, perform physical tasks, and troubleshoot effectively.
- Willingness to drive long distances and work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays. Must assume 24‑hour on‑call duty when assigned.
- Competitive compensation with a base pay range of $30 – $40 USD.
