We are recruiting on behalf of a company seeking a Principal-Level Power Supply Design Engineer to serve as a technical authority and hands‑on leader in the development of advanced DC/DC and AC/DC power‑conversion platforms.

This role is designed for a senior power electronics expert who enjoys owning complex designs end‑to‑end, shaping next‑generation architectures, and raising the technical bar across an engineering team without stepping away from real circuit design, simulation, and validation.

You will have significant influence over technical direction, design standards, and long‑term platform strategy, while remaining deeply embedded in the engineering work itself.

• Serve as technical lead and subject‑matter expert for high‑voltage DC/DC and AC/DC power supply development
• Define system architectures, converter topologies, and design philosophies for next‑generation power platforms
• Lead the hands‑on design, simulation, and development of power supplies from concept through production
• Act as a technical mentor to power electronics engineers, supporting design reviews, problem‑solving, and skills development
• Own and review schematics, calculations, simulations, layouts, and test data to ensure robust, production‑ready designs
• Lead design verification, qualification, and validation, including high‑voltage and reliability testing
• Collaborate closely with systems, mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless product integration
• Support technical hiring, onboarding, and capability assessment of new engineers
• Proactively identify and mitigate technical risk across multiple programs
• Drive continuous improvement in tools, processes, and engineering standards

• Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent
• Extensive, hands‑on experience in DC/DC and AC/DC power supply design
• Proven expertise in high‑voltage power conversion
• Track record of acting as a technical lead, principal engineer, or mentor
• Deep knowledge of power semiconductors, magnetics, control loops, EMI/EMC, and thermal design
• Strong proficiency with simulation and design tools (SPICE, MATLAB/Simulink, PCB CAD)
• Experience taking designs from concept through validation and production
• Clear communicator with the credibility to influence technical direction across teams

• Background in high‑reliability or regulated environments (aerospace, defence, medical, industrial)
• Familiarity with EMC, safety, and regulatory standards for high‑voltage systems
• Experience acting as a technical authority across multiple concurrent projects
