Battle Bank, N.A. is seeking a friendly, customer-focused, and detail-oriented individual to join the team in the Universal Banker role.

The Universal Banker is a key player in driving branch growth and delivering exceptional customer experience. The role is responsible for processing a broad range of financial transactions, demonstrating deep knowledge of product features and benefits, effectively communicating them, and cultivating both new and existing consumer and business relationships. This individual will be a trusted advisor, providing guidance on a full range of banking products and services with a focus on building community around the company’s values.

The Universal Banker will report directly to the Community Bank Manager as a member of the Banking Operations team. This is a part-time position with starting hourly pay between $20-$25 depending on experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned.

Customer Service and Relationship Management

  • Fostering strong, positive relationships with clients, coworkers, and members of the community is essential to fulfilling the mission of this position.
  • Develop a strong understanding of products, services, relationship building, and banking industry standards for compliance, security and risk management.
  • Engage in detailed client conversations around account decisions, transactions, and business matters related to typical and atypical banking activity.
  • Maintain absolute confidentiality of customer accounts.
Operational Duties
  • Process all commercial and personal Clients transactional needs, including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, payments and account maintenance.
  • Issue cashier checks, money orders, and gift cards.
  • Issue and maintain debit cards.
  • Accept check re-orders and address changes.
  • Process dormant and inactive account transactions according to bank policy.
  • Handle and balance cash drawer with 100% accuracy.
  • Follow all dual control and branch security measures.
  • Assist with opening and closing of the bank facility by accessing security system, recording, and processing night deposit bags / envelopes.
  • Maintain bank security by following policy, which includes internal security, transaction security, and robbery procedures.
  • Print daily reports & notices.
  • Follow proper document retention and filing procedures.
Compliance and Training
  • Maintain solid understanding of all legal and regulatory compliance issues as they pertain to this position.
  • Loss prevention and security as applicable for this position.
  • Complete required training.
  • Participate in Battle Bank N.A. sales/referral promotions.
  • Assist with deposit product training with new and existing employees.
  • Maintain file on assigned competitors and monitor rates, pricing, product changes, etc.

Education/Experience

Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or one to two years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior financial institution experience preferred.
