The ideal candidate will have experience owning the annual budgeting and forecasting process while providing clear financial insight that supports strong decision-making. This individual is an expert in U.S. GAAP, with a strong command of financial reporting and accounting standards. They work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business performance, improve profitability, and translate financial data into practical, actionable guidance for leadership.
Responsibilities- Own monthly and year-end close, financial statements, and management reporting
- Analyze results versus budget, forecast, and KPIs; provide insight and recommendations
- Maintain strong accounting processes and internal controls
- Oversee AR, AP, payroll, and general ledger activities
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning
- Manage cost accounting, inventory valuation, and cost rates
- Provide financial input on pricing, customer quotes, and capital investments
- Improve accounting systems, tools, and processes
- Coordinate audits and tax-related activities with external partners
- Support special projects and ad hoc financial analysis
- Strong accounting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Collaborative leader with clear communication skills
- Able to work independently and meet close deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred)
- 2–5 years of experience as a Controller or in a similar role; manufacturing experience preferred
- Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
- Experience with cost accounting, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Advanced Excel skills; ERP and reporting tools experience a plus
