Financial Controller - Rochester, MN
Our client, a leading provider of metal fabricated products and components, is seeking a highly skilled and results-oriented financial controller to join their growing team. The financial controller will play a critical role in the financial health of the company by providing accurate and timely financial information, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, and supporting strategic decision-making.

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Conduct variance analysis and prepare insightful reports for management.
Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track financial performance.
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
Oversee the audit processes.
Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment processing, and collections.
Supervise the accounts receivable aging process and implement strategies to improve cash flow.
Manage general ledger accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis.
Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards (GAAP).
Prepare and file all federal, state, and local tax returns.
Advise management on tax planning and strategies.
Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
Evaluate and recommend improvements to financial systems and processes.
Supervise and mentor accounting staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance from an accredited university.
7+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Proven experience in financial statement preparation, analysis, and reporting.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications.
Extensive experience with Quick Books Enterprise or other ERP systems is required.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong work ethic and a commitment to excellence.
