Responsibilities

Join a world-class Neurology team advancing innovation, education, and patient care. The CNP Technologist role is part of our multi-skilled Neurodiagnostic team, performing procedures including Electroencephalography (EEG), Evoked Potentials, Autonomic Testing, and/or Nerve Conduction Studies. Technologists ensure exceptional patient preparation, accurate data acquisition, and a safe, high-quality testing environment. You will work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to meaningful patient care.

Additional Information About This Position

  • Perform advanced nerve conduction studies (NCS) and provide specialized technical support for physician-performed electromyography (EMG) in an academic clinical setting.
  • Practice with a high degree of autonomy, applying advanced clinical judgment and technical expertise to ensure safe, accurate, and diagnostically rigorous studies across neuromuscular disorders.
  • Select, tailor, and execute study protocols aligned with evidence-based guidelines; optimize data quality through real-time troubleshooting.
  • Communicate relevant technical findings clearly to supervising physicians, fellows, residents, and trainees to support clinical decision-making, education, and research.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, participate in teaching activities, and contribute to continuous quality improvement.
  • Build and maintain patient and provider trust through clear communication, patient education, and professional care.
  • Ensure compliance with institutional, regulatory, and departmental standards related to quality, safety, ethics, and patient privacy.
Qualifications

Tech I:
High School Diploma or GED. Graduate of an accredited neurodiagnostic program or 2 years of equivalent Neurodiagnostic experience. Associate’s degree preferred.

Requirements
:

  • Within two years of employment, obtain specific ABRET certifications (R. EEG T., R. EP T., CNIM, CLTM, CAP); ABEM (CNCT) and/or AAET (R.NCS.T.) as applicable in the hire laboratory.
  • Attempt Registry Examination as soon as eligible.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Tech II
:
High School Diploma or GED and 3 years of Neurodiagnostics experience. Associate’s degree preferred.

Requirements
:

  • Must be a current Registered Neurodiagnostic Technologist to apply. Registries include ABRET certifications (R. EEG T., R. EP T., CNIM, CLTM, CAP); ABEM (CNCT); AAET (R.NCS.T.).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Tech III
:
High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of Neurodiagnostics experience. Associate’s degree preferred.

Requirements
:

  • Minimum ten years neurodiagnostic experience (outpatient and/or inpatient) or hired into this job description prior to 2002.
  • Must be a current Registered Neurodiagnostic Technologist with two of the following registries or meet the qualifications for one registry, as appropriate:
