1.0 FTE - Day Shift This is a hybrid position

Starting Pay - $36.06 to $45.07 (based on experience)

Offers for external candidates are generally made between the minimum and midpoint of the range, based on experience.

Qualifications
  • One or more of the following required:
  • Clinical certification or licensure (MA, LPN, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Health or IT-related field
  • Five years of work experience directly related to clinical system build, design, maintenance, and troubleshooting
  • Epic Care Ambulatory certification strongly preferred; other clinical Epic certifications may be considered depending on experience
  • Epic Care Ambulatory certification must be obtained within four months of hire if not already held
  • Five years of work experience in a healthcare environment preferred
  • Working knowledge of clinical workflows and healthcare operations
  • Working knowledge of data analytics and reporting

Job Responsibilities
  • Acquires and maintains in-depth working "user" knowledge of the system.
  • Acquires and maintains in-depth knowledge of operational workflows and processes.
  • Promotes data integrity, security, privacy, confidentiality, access, and exchange of health data for all users of health information.
  • Reviews new system products, modules, and functionality, and becomes familiar with program applications.
  • Based on knowledge of EHR systems and input from end users, makes recommendations for application enhancements.
  • Provides onsite and remote end-user support to clinical staff, managers, and the organization as needed during new implementations and regularly during typical usage.
  • Maintains and modifies options within the system, such as content and layout, system profiles, data tables, system settings, and parameters. Components will vary by system.
  • Assists with issue resolution, working with end users, OMC's Information Technology (IT) department, and the vendor team(s).
  • Submits service requests to the vendor as necessary, tracks status regularly, and escalates status when necessary.
  • Maintains communication with vendor, user groups, department managers, subject matter experts, super users, and other stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Assists clinical staff with the interpretation of data provided by the system.
  • Leads the creation of standard practices for the input and maintenance of all related information ensuring data accuracy and procedural compliance for assigned application(s).
  • Facilitates meetings with clinical staff and stakeholders to outline workflow and processes to determine which upgrade options and features to implement and for planning, developing and implementing enhancements.
  • Conducts and leads periodic audits to monitor compliance to established procedures.
  • Assists in oversight of new projects, system upgrades, and other system changes as necessary or regulated.
  • Assists with the development and maintenance of training materials.
  • Assists with training new users of the system and all users in times of upgrades and with the introduction of new functionality.
  • Reviews new/existing technology for efficiency gains with EHR usage.
  • Other duties as assigned.
