Program Overview
- The Nurse Residency Program offers a structured and supportive environment for new nurses to develop their skills and transition smoothly into their professional careers.
- The program coincides with the unit you are hired into and all nurses with less than one year of experience are enrolled in the program.
- Goal:
To support new graduate nurses in their transition from novice nurse to competent nurse through professional development. - Length: 1 year program.
- Shifts:
Typically 0.7-0.8 FTE working Day/Night (some 12-hour shifts or D/E availability), but openings vary.
- Nursing license in Minnesota before start date with Essentia Health.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month of hire.
