Family Partners of Minnesota is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join their team in Rochester, MN. In this rewarding role, you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities by providing personalized care and support. Responsibilities:- Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Support individuals in community integration and social activities
- Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately
- Administer medications and monitor health needs as directed
- Foster independence and self-advocacy skills in the individuals you support
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care team members
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in direct care, DSP, or human services preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background checkn
- Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to obtain required certifications such as CPR/First Aid and medication administration
- Genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities
