Direct Support Professional

Job Description

At All Scope Health, our Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to live meaningful, independent, and fulfilling lives. DSPs provide hands‑on assistance, encouragement, and supervision to help individuals achieve their personal goals while ensuring their health, safety, and overall well‑being.

In this role, you will assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, personal care, household management, scheduling, and community participation. You will also support individuals in developing adaptive skills, engaging in social opportunities, and accessing resources that promote independence and inclusion.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized home environment.
• Support meal planning, preparation, and healthy eating.
• Assist with daily schedules, medical appointments, and community activities.
• Provide transportation and help with errands such as grocery shopping and prescription pick-ups.
• Encourage independence, build confidence, and offer respectful guidance in decision‑making.
• Complete accurate and detailed progress notes at the end of each shift.

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Previous experience in caregiving, human services, or healthcare (preferred but not required).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass a background study and eligibility requirements.
• Strong communication, patience, and problem‑solving skills.
• Commitment to treating individuals with dignity, respect, and compassion.
