Summary
The Guest Service Associate is responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services to guests in an attentive, friendly, and efficient manner. Responsibilities include parking and retrieving guest vehicles, assisting with luggage, and ensuring a prompt yet safe service.
Compensation & ScheduleHourly base pay: $20.25 per hour.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday. 6amtonoon or noonto6pm shifts (no nights or weekends).

Essential Functions- 25% Maintains a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with all guests, co‑workers, and clients; acknowledges and greets guests within five feet; uses last names and salutations of the day; practices proper phone etiquette; remains available in designated areas when not completing tasks.
- 10% Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously; assists guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed; opens all vehicle and hotel doors for guests.
- 20% Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and other inquiries; provides information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and main attractions; delivers messages, items, or guest amenities as requested; shuttles guests to approved locations.
- 10% Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures; issues claim checks after receiving keys and collects claim checks prior to issuing keys; maintains all ticket information (key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey, claim check receipt); calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed.
- 35% Total amount of time for all functions of the job (100%).
- Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Licensure: Valid driver’s license for the state of employment.
- Work Experience: One (1) month of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge: Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- Skills:
- Read and write standard English.
- Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Write simple correspondence.
- Present information effectively in one‑on‑one and small group settings.
- Perform basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) including money calculations.
- Understand 24‑hour and military time systems and applicable rates.
- Operate a manual transmission; perform parallel parking.
The position is routine, following established practices and procedures with specific operational instructions. Decisions are made within departmental guidelines; errors in judgment could affect efficiency.
Working Conditions & Physical DemandsEmployees are required to speak, hear, sit, stand, run, walk, handle tools, reach, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Vision: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception and focus adjustment required. Lifting: up to 100lb occasionally, 50lb frequently, 20lb constantly. Work is mostly outdoors, subject to extreme heat/cold. Up to 5% travel may be required.
