SUMMARY

The Guest Service Captain orchestrates the service experience for hotel guests while working alongside coworkers to ensure that the site’s service standards are met or exceeded. Under the direction of the Account Manager, the Guest Service Captain has additional duties involving coordination and administration, as well as providing troubleshooting and guidance when the manager is not on‑site.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Guest Interaction (20%)
    • Greet guests within 30 seconds of arrival.
    • Use appropriate greeting for the site.
    • Advise guests on parking and retrieval procedures.
    • Handle guest complaints and difficult situations with composure.
  • Vehicle & Passenger Service (20%)
    • Open and close vehicle and hospital/hotel doors for guests.
    • Operate vehicle for parking and retrieval while maintaining safety.
    • Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys; collect checks prior to issuing keys.
    • Secure all keys on a belt clip or in a locked key box.
  • Phone & Housekeeping (10%)
    • Use proper phone etiquette.
    • Complete room presentations when providing bell services.
    • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and inquiries.
    • Maintain knowledge of client facility and local attractions.
  • Team Leadership (15%)
    • Promote teamwork through example and communication.
    • Assign routine roles and reduce staff as directed by the Account Manager.
  • Administrative Tasks (10%)
    • Create and adjust work schedules with the Account Manager.
    • Complete ticket information, claim check receipts, and cash drop envelopes.
    • Prepare shift reports and reconcile revenue and tickets at shift end.
  • Wheelchair & HIPAA Compliance (10%)
    • Check wheelchairs for safe operation before use and clean after use.
    • Protect guest confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education
    :
    High school diploma or GED.
  • Licensure / Certification
    :
    Must be at least 18 years old and pass a criminal background, MVR, and drug screen. Complete the Wheelchair Safety Training course provided by Towne Park.
  • Experience
    :
    Six months related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Twelve months of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge
    :
    Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Knowledge of standard English reading, writing, and understanding.
  • Skills
    :
    • Drive manual transmission.
    • Effectively present information in one‑to‑one and small group settings.
    • Apply reasoning in written, oral, or diagram instructions.
    • Perform basic arithmetic with American money.
    • Understand 24‑hour and military time systems.
  • Physical & Opinion Qualifications as described in the Working Conditions & Physical Demands section.
WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The job is performed outdoors for extended periods, including extreme heat and cold. Employees must be able to talk, hear, sit, stand, run, walk, climb stairs, balance, and carry up to 100 lbs occasionally. Working conditions include weather exposure, travel up to 5% of the time, and handling of vehicle claims and guest interactions.

COMPENSATION

Hourly base pay range: $25.00 – $27.50 per hour.

WORK SCHEDULE

Full Time. Must be available to work between the hours of 6am & 6pm.
