Position Summary

The Manager, Human Resources leads employee relations and recruiting activities while ensuring compliance with company policies, employment laws, and HR best practices. This role partners closely with business leaders to drive HR initiatives, support organizational objectives, and create a positive employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer human resources policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and maintaining employee handbooks.
  • Lead recruiting and employee relations activities while ensuring fairness, consistency, and compliance.
  • Manage and mentor HR Administrators and HR Generalists.
  • Develop departmental goals, objectives, systems, and process improvements.
  • Partner with business leaders to provide guidance on employee-related matters.
  • Serve as a trusted HR resource for employees across the organization.
  • Handle employee counseling and recommend appropriate resolutions to workplace issues.
  • Support onboarding, orientation, compliance training, and other employee development initiatives.
  • Conduct plant tours and HR-related audits, including attendance, HR records, and policy compliance.
  • Coordinate responses to unemployment claims and employment-related legal matters in collaboration with legal counsel.
  • Present HR updates during company meetings and leadership discussions.
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment, including interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new employees.
  • Recommend and implement employee disciplinary actions, up to and including termination, when appropriate.
  • Support additional HR initiatives as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related discipline preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 6 years of Human Resources experience.
  • Strong experience in recruiting and employee relations.
  • Experience leading and managing HR teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse teams across all organizational levels.
  • Demonstrated professionalism, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
  • Strong customer service and business partnership mindset.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Leadership experience with coaching and mentoring employees.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies.
