Our client, an established organization operating within advanced manufacturing and technology-driven industries, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead employee relations, recruiting, compliance, and day-to-day HR operations.

This position will manage HR Administrators and Generalists while serving as a trusted advisor to employees, managers, and senior leaders. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on HR professional with strong leadership skills, sound judgment, and extensive experience managing sensitive employee‑relations matters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead employee‑relations and recruiting activities while ensuring consistent and fair application of workplace policies.
  • Administer HR programs, policies, procedures, and employee‑support initiatives.
  • Assist with developing, updating, and implementing HR policies, procedures, and the employee handbook.
  • Manage, coach, and develop HR Administrators and Generalists.
  • Establish departmental goals, objectives, systems, and process‑improvement initiatives.
  • Advise managers and employees on workplace concerns, performance issues, policy interpretation, conflict resolution, and disciplinary matters.
  • Conduct employee counseling and recommend appropriate solutions for workplace concerns.
  • Manage disciplinary actions when necessary, up to and including employment termination.
  • Oversee full‑cycle recruiting, including candidate interviews, selection, offers, and new‑hire onboarding.
  • Coordinate recruiting resources, including job advertisements, online sourcing platforms, and external recruiting partners.
  • Support employee training related to interviewing, workplace expectations, handbook policies, harassment prevention, and other compliance matters.
  • Conduct routine facility tours and audits involving attendance, HR records, computer‑use compliance, and workplace practices.
  • Prepare responses related to unemployment claims and other employment matters and participate in hearings when required.
  • Collaborate with internal legal counsel regarding employee‑relations and compliance matters.
  • Present HR updates and information during employee, management, and company meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal and state employment regulations.
  • Support additional HR programs and responsibilities as organizational needs evolve.
Required Qualifications
  • At least six years of progressive human resources experience.
  • Extensive training or hands‑on experience in recruiting and employee relations.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people‑management experience, including the ability to coach and mentor employees at multiple organizational levels.
  • Strong knowledge of employee‑relations practices, workplace investigations, corrective action, and conflict resolution.
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong judgment and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective organizational, prioritization, analytical, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Experience collaborating with and influencing cross‑functional leaders.
  • Understanding of continuous‑improvement principles and tools.
  • Strong customer‑service and internal‑client focus.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and other productivity tools.
  • Experience using virtual conferencing platforms such as Webex or comparable systems.
  • Ability to work effectively with employees and leaders from diverse backgrounds, functions, and geographic locations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A combination of relevant education and professional experience may be considered.
  • Experience supporting an advanced manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, defense, medical-device, semiconductor, or similarly regulated environment.
  • Working knowledge of business operations, financial considerations, risk analysis, relationship management, and project management.
