- Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of technology/information system internal audits for assigned organizational areas and functional activities in accordance with the audit plan approved by the Audit and Compliance Committee.
- Assist the Senior II with preparing risk assessments, audit programs, and gathering/analyzing accurate information.
- May participate on strategic priority teams and in recruiting and hiring audit staff.
- Perform information technology audit fieldwork activities, including interviews/walkthroughs, end-to-end process mapping, risk and control analysis, and testing documentation.
- Document testing and results, ensure objectives are achieved, and summarize findings for reporting.
- Complete project assignments on time while meeting quality requirements and communicating potential delays.
- Prepare formal written draft reports assessing the design and operating effectiveness of identified risks and controls.
- Collaborate within a team using project management skills/tools.
- Interpret and apply information technology controls, industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal audit standards.
- Maintain a solution-oriented approach, manage multiple activities, and pursue innovative improvements.
- Identify and communicate problems/opportunities; participate in implementing solutions.
- Present information effectively to audiences including Audit project leadership, building credibility and relationships.
- Demonstrate professional oral and written communication skills in audit reports.
- Apply advanced IT auditing concepts and analytical thinking to project work.
- Pursue relevant information for complex problem solving and root-cause analysis.
- Stay current in IT, healthcare, regulatory requirements, and audit standards; research topics as needed to identify risks and objectives.
- Ad-hoc travel may be required as work activities warrant.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a relevant field; at least three years of relevant experience.
- Public accounting experience (regional or Big
4) and/or healthcare experience preferred. - Certification (CPA, CIA, CISA, CISSP, or CFE) preferred.
- Preferred

experience mentoring and providing feedback to team members.
- This position is hybrid; must live within driving distance to a Mayo Clinic Campus (Rochester, AZ, and FL).
