CTG is seeking to fill a Workstation Technician position for our client.
Location: Rochester, MN (2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM)
Responsibilities- Collaborate with Workstation Support Services and business units to ensure hardware and software orders are received, configured, scheduled, and installed.
- Label equipment according to organizational standards and verify device specifications against purchase orders.
- Document hardware configurations and ensure compliance with established technical standards.
- Perform on‑site installations, moves, adds, changes, and break/fix support while working independently.
- Coordinate equipment relocations with departments and support teams as requested.
- Serve as a technical liaison with cross‑functional support teams (Help Desk, Applications, Materials Management, and other IT Infrastructure groups).
- Provide basic end‑user training and communicate hardware/software requirements, scheduling, and service impacts.
- Maintain inventory of supplies, equipment, and replacement parts required for installations and repairs.
- Collaborate with IT Infrastructure teams to manage parts inventory and asset tracking.
- Evaluate and process equipment in accordance with IT Security policies and data protection guidelines.
- Participate in overtime and on‑call support as required.
- Minimum two (2) years of customer service experience.
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and deliver high-quality customer service in a team environment.
- Experience using ticket tracking systems and related documentation tools.
- Flexibility to manage changing workloads, special projects, and high‑priority requests.
- Working knowledge of computer terminology and concepts (CPU, networking, client/server, LAN/WAN, Internet).
- Ability to evaluate customer needs and recommend appropriate hardware or software solutions.
- Physical ability to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, work with arms above shoulder level, and lift up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to distinguish colors.
- Two (2) years of experience supporting computer hardware in a customer environment.
- Associate degree or
- Two (2) years of technical school training in Computers, Technology, Electronics, or a related field.
- High School Diploma required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $22.00 to $28.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
