Path Assist is a cutting‑edge initiative that uses artificial intelligence to democratize diagnostic expertise in pathology. The Data Science Analyst will develop, train, and validate advanced multimodal AI models that integrate digital pathology, clinical text, and population health data. This includes hands‑on data curation, probabilistic and self‑supervised model development, statistical performance evaluation, and interdisciplinary collaboration with physicians and scientists.
The analyst will work with knowledge architects, informaticians, and clinicians to develop and deploy AI solutions for non‑technical users, often at the point of care. Responsibilities also include applying and modifying scripts or software for data management, extraction, and analysis; developing predictive models; providing consultative services under a senior data scientist; and supporting scientific projects.
Other Responsibilities- Provides data insights for business problems that can be approached with analytics techniques to collect, explore, and extract insights from structured and unstructured data.
- Has expertise in the data science methods used to analyze data, and knowledge of data types, topics, and scientific challenges and approaches.
- Executes analytical procedures in the framework of a specific project work request.
- Creates or modifies scripts or software applications to support data management, data extraction and data analysis as required.
- Contributes to the interpretation of data analysis and to writing reports.
- Helps customers understand the data set and provide training and suggestions for improvement on the data request.
- Leverages communication and interpersonal skills and works with subject‑matter experts.
- Presents findings in easy‑to‑understand terms for the business or clinical practice.
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as engineering, mathematics, computer science, health science, or other analytical/quantitative disciplines plus a minimum of three years of professional or research experience in data science. A master’s degree or Ph.D. and at least one year of professional experience further strengthen the application. Applicants should demonstrate ability to develop predictive models using advanced statistical modeling, machine learning, or data mining techniques, provide consultative services, employ problem‑solving methodologies, manage multiple priorities, and stay current on healthcare trends.
Strong analytical, computer application, and customer‑service skills are required.

Compensation Detail$99,070.40 – $ per year. Education, experience and tenure will be considered.
ScheduleFull Time – Monday to Friday, business hours. An 80‑hour week. On‑site expectations will be discussed during the interview; employees must live within commutable distance of the assigned Mayo Clinic site.
