• Provide leadership for team members supporting Epic reporting solutions, including Slicer Dicer, Clarity, and Caboodle.
• Lead the support of software programs or modules across multiple clinical and/or business functions.
• Directly oversee activities of those assigned to the development and maintenance of software-based systems in the supported areas.
• Analyze the business environment and the IT impact on it; provide analysis and support for installed systems and for system implementation and integration projects requiring systems analysis, design, build, testing and implementation for specific modules or applications.
• Serve as a liaison between clinical, business, and technical areas during planning; foster partnerships to develop knowledge of a business work area.
• Research requests to determine scope, size and impact; validate requirement information with stakeholders and ensure the solution satisfies requirements.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of existing systems and certification in the vended application; design, develop or modify programs, algorithms or rules using vendor tools; assure work of others in this area.
• Manage mid- to large-sized operational projects independently; delegate and direct team members; coordinate implementation efforts across organizational boundaries.
• Monitor industry features and standards to provide input to IT and Mayo Clinic strategy; may liaison with industry partnerships or national industry events.
• Develop proposals and business plans that ensure quality IT solutions aligning with industry and Mayo Clinic architecture.
• Create test plans and evaluate plans for improvement; provide training and mentoring to analysts or related roles.
• Assist managers with staffing input, development of staff, and operational planning.
• May be required to provide 24/7 on-call support.

• Master’s degree with 6 years’ experience including 3 years’ demonstrated leadership experience; OR bachelor’s degree with 8 years’ experience including 3 years’ demonstrated leadership experience; OR associate’s degree with 10 years’ experience including 3 years’ demonstrated leadership experience.
• Vendor application certification may be required.
