Position: Planner/Scheduler I

Job Summary

The Planner/Scheduler loads, schedules, and releases orders per the schedule review process defined by the Supply Chain Analyst. They monitor planned and released orders through shipment and invoice payment, expedite and resolve issues that delay schedules.

Responsibilities
  • Act as the key contact for receipt and entry of new orders, change orders, and net change analysis from customers.
  • Perform material and capacity analysis, working with the Supply Chain Analyst to establish a production schedule for each order and resolve discrepancies between requested and promised due dates.
  • Communicate forecast and production schedule changes to the Master Planner and Supply Chain supervisor, and analyze the impact on component procurement and production volume.
  • Monitor material status of upcoming orders; flag and release orders as defined by the daily release schedule.
  • Ensure all orders are completed on time, escalating issues that may prevent timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with Production, Product Engineering, Kit Pull, Shipping, and Purchasing on priorities, holds, throughput or capacity issues, part shortages, or engineering changes on released orders.
  • Represent the Planning Department on the Customer Team as needed.
  • Assist Supply Chain Management or Analyst with development or changes to Planning or Scheduling processes.
  • Provide input or analysis on WIP, Finished Goods, and Component inventory levels.
  • Process project orders, track orders to completion, analyze project costs, and prepare and process project invoicing and closing.
  • Work with Finance to investigate and resolve Accounts Receivable issues.
  • Maintain quality of work to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Demonstrate understanding of the extended process of order receipt and entry, material procurement, order release, assembly, shipment, and invoice payment.
  • Proficiency with ERP tools (Baan or equivalent) related to the role.
  • Effective decision‑making skills for manufacturing floor direction and prioritization.
  • Knowledge of return debits and credits, return receipt and routing generation, Process Feedback System (PFS) entry, and return/project cost analysis and invoicing.
  • Discretion in representing the company in supply‑chain related decisions.
  • Strong planning, analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle returned product following all applicable handling and ESD guidelines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication.
  • Demonstrated confidentiality and professional representation.
  • Participation in continuous improvement activities with documented follow‑ups.
  • 2–4+ years of experience in planning and scheduling.
Education

Four‑year degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience, as approved by executive management.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation Range: $50,471.00 to $63,089.00 USD. Additional compensation factors may apply.
