Position Overview

The Manager partners with administrative leaders, physicians, and scientists to lead and coordinate operational and administrative functions in alignment with strategic priorities. The role requires strong leadership, operational and process‑improvement capabilities, and the ability to mentor and develop direct reports.

Responsibilities Vision and Strategy
  • Lead and manage the team to operationalize the vision, executing goals and outcome‑based objectives.
  • Actively contribute to the development of priorities and action plans.
  • Serve as a liaison between front‑line supervisors and staff and leadership to ensure strategic alignment, staff engagement, and open, transparent communication.
  • Develop relationships externally in support of Mayo Clinic’s goals and objectives.
People and Culture
  • Create and foster high‑performing, engaged teams aligned to a culture of safety and Mayo Clinic values.
  • Lead and mentor the team through new and changing situations.
  • Effectively manage team performance and handle difficult conversations with compassion and respect.
  • Embed equity, inclusion, and diversity principles into the team across hiring, development, and coaching.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop direct reports and allied health staff to foster engagement, lifelong learning, and professional growth.
Operational Excellence

  • Represent and communicate big‑picture thinking with business partners and stakeholders.
  • Support effective decision‑making and ensure long‑term sustainability through deep understanding of healthcare, education, and research finance models.

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience OR
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience required.
  • Operational experience must include demonstrated competency in leadership, management, operations, finance, communication, and change‑management methodologies.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Base salary: $105,060 – $157,643 per year.
  • Benefits:
    Medical, Dental, Vision, Pre‑Tax Savings (HSA, FSAs), and Retirement package.
  • Schedule:

    Full Time;
    Standard Days M‑F; 80 hours per pay period.
  • Location:

    Rochester, Minnesota (other Mayo Clinic campuses in Arizona, Florida, and international locations available).
  • Eligibility:
    Eligible for benefits.
  • Schedule Details:
    Standard days Monday‑Friday.
