Independent Living Manager
Salary Range: $62,500 - $69,000
As a Center for Independent Living (CIL), we are dedicated to the Independent Living Philosophy and are seeking team members who are passionate about working alongside people with disabilities to achieve their goals.
As the Independent Living (IL) Manager, you will be responsible for supervising and developing IL staff; ensuring high-quality, consumer-directed service delivery; maintaining compliance with grant, regulatory, and agency requirements; and planning for the continued growth and development of IL programs. The position monitors current and emerging community needs, funding opportunities, regulations, and trends to support responsive and sustainable programming. The IL Program Manager works collaboratively with the leadership team to advance SEMCIL's mission, strategic priorities, and long-term goals.
This is a hybrid position that is full-time and benefit eligible.
Essential Job Functions
- Professionally demonstrate SEMCIL core values and adhere to all required program and agency policies and procedures.
- Promote and interweave the Independent Living Philosophy throughout programs, services, staff development, decision-making, and program practices.
- Provide leadership and oversight of IL programs and services to ensure effective, high-quality, consumer-directed service delivery.
- Ensure IL programs and services comply with applicable federal and state regulations, grant requirements, work plans, and agency policies.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to recruit, onboard, develop, and retain IL staff.
- Provide direct supervision, mentorship, guidance, and performance management to IL staff.
- Identify staff development needs and develop, coordinate, and implement training and education necessary to maintain staff competency.
- Establish expectations for service delivery and documentation and monitor program performance, staff outcomes, and documentation compliance.
- Provide guidance and support to staff in addressing complex consumer needs, service barriers, program requirements, and other challenges affecting service delivery.
- Collect, review, and utilize program data to evaluate program performance and outcomes, identify trends and opportunities for improvement, and guide the continued effectiveness, quality, accessibility, responsiveness, and future development of IL services.
- Maintain awareness of emerging issues, systemic barriers, community needs, and opportunities affecting people with disabilities, and use that knowledge to guide program planning, organizational strategy, and the continued growth and development of IL services.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director, Finance Director, and Leadership Team to identify funding opportunities and develop, monitor, and manage program goals, grants, work plans, outcomes, reporting requirements, and budgets, ensuring compliance and responsible use of organizational and grant resources.
- Actively engage in community outreach, education, and networking opportunities to increase awareness and understanding of Centers for Independent Living, SEMCIL's mission, and available programs and services.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships with consumers, community partners, stakeholders, funders, referral sources, government agencies, and internal staff while professionally representing SEMCIL.
- Participate as a member of the Leadership Team and contribute to agency planning, problem-solving, policy development, strategic initiatives, and agency-wide decision-making.
- Support cross-program collaboration and communication to promote effective use of organizational resources and coordinated services for consumers.
- Regular attendance and other duties as assigned.
