Our client, a leading food manufacturing organization, is seeking a 1st shift Sanitation Operator to join their team. As a 1st shift Sanitation Operator, you will be part of the Sanitation Department supporting production and quality assurance teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: 1st shift Sanitation Operator

Location: Rochester, MN

Pay Range: $22-$23/hour

Shift: 7am - 3:30pm, Monday through Friday

What's the Job?
  • Lead and perform detailed cleaning activities on specialized production and packaging equipment including fermenters, blend tanks, dryers, evaporators, and sifters.

  • Understand and safely handle all chemicals used on-site, including proper usage, handling, PPE safety precautions, and exposure procedures.

  • Operate foamers, pressure washers, hose stations, and floor scrubbers efficiently and safely.

  • Assist in Clean-Out-of-Place (COP) procedures, including assembling, disassembling, troubleshooting, and cleaning specialized equipment.

  • Maintain a hygienic environment by cleaning walls, tank exteriors, overhead pipes, and other areas following the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS).

What's Needed?
  • High school diploma or GED.

  • None required, but 6 months to 1-year experience in a food manufacturing environment is desirable.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with production personnel.

  • Ability to read and follow safety and sanitation rules.

  • Physical ability to stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds.
