The Plasma Demonstrator will serve as the subject matter expert for plasma cutting, supporting the sales team through training, demonstrations, and technical expertise. This role is critical in driving customer engagement, ensuring proper machine setup, and promoting Lincoln Electric's plasma solutions as the industry standard.
Duties and Responsibilities- Conduct field training, customer training, and support account targeting for plasma cutting opportunities.
- Partner with the technical sales team to support key ("A") customers and distributors.
- Perform equipment demonstrations, machine setup, and troubleshooting at customer sites and events.
- Act as a brand ambassador for plasma cutting, representing Lincoln Electric at trade shows, customer visits, distributor open houses and industry events.
- Collaborate with Marketing to create how‑to videos, maintenance guides, product feature videos, and customer‑focused content.
- Provide technical support for application, product configuration, and troubleshooting of plasma cutting systems.
- Work with Product Management to deliver market intelligence and feedback for new product development.
- Assist in developing conversion plans for targeted accounts.
- Conduct product and process training for customers, distributors, and internal Lincoln personnel to ensure proficiency in plasma cutting.
Education:
- Associate degree in Welding Technology or minimum of 3 years of welding / cutting experience
Necessary Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Highly motivated, self‑confident, and persistent with strong account management skills.
Other:
- Ability to manage demonstrations and coordinate with sales department to drive customer relationships by region.
- Willingness to travel extensively (over 75%)
Preferred Experience:
- Hands on customer‑facing role, demonstrating equipment or technology
