Pay: $23.00 - $28.50 per hour + $5,000 sign-on bonus + 2 dollar night differential.
About the RoleThe Rochester, MN location is part of Foundational Technologies, specializing in fermented ingredients for the bio‑science industry. The team focuses on clean label and natural products ensuring freshness.
Key Responsibilities- Receiving and pasteurizing liquid raw materials, CIP of silos and line circuits, monitoring equipment and sanitation and housekeeping.
- Operating downstream of our hygienic fermentation process. Understand the process flow throughout the plant, timing, staying on task and to schedule with multiple processes occurring lity to work under pressure and meet flexible changing priorities.
- Operating pasteurizers, evaporators, and CIP units. Maintain documentation on pasteurizer chart recorders and MDA requirement. Troubleshoot problems with equipment and provide assistance or feedback to maintenance when needed.
- Splitting fermentation media and performing sanitary transfer to various fermentation and storage vessels including the site’s 14 silos and fermenters.
- Running the two evaporators to precise setpoints of density, temperature, run rate and vacuum. Monitor equipment which requires climbing multiple levels of stairs during a shift and making flow plate connections with durable heavy transfer hoses.
- Documenting and overseeing both incoming and outgoing trucks of raw materials for further processing.
- Keeping in communication with the quality department monitoring ongoing processes, fermentations and add‑backs. Filling out daily production and communication logs.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide whole numbers. Basic computer skills including email, spreadsheets and control systems such as SAP and iFix.
- Physical demands include the ability to walk and stand regularly, climb stairs and ladders, reach, bend/stoop, crouch, squat, push/pull, and manipulate. Occasionally lift 30 lbs and infrequently up to 55 lbs.
- Vision, reading and writing are required.
- Talking and hearing are not essential functions.
- Work performed inside with exposure to fumes, noise, and chemical agents. Hearing protection required. Floor surface is concrete, frequently wet. Temperature is variable.
Pay range: $23.00 – $28.50 per hour. Kerry is a pay-for-performance company; compensation decisions are based on skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
