We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to work in a manufacturing setting, focusing on debugging, testing, and maintenance of electrical assemblies. This role involves collaboration with various teams to enhance processes and ensure the smooth operation of testing equipment.
Responsibilities- Perform debug and test assemblies to the component level, utilizing block diagrams and schematics.
- Maintain and upkeep testing equipment.
- Troubleshoot operator problems and collaborate with leadership on training and process improvements.
- Provide training and ongoing support to Test operators.
- Communicate problems to Test Engineer and leadership.
- Assist in performing experiments for failure analysis and root cause analysis.
- Recommend additional equipment needs to leadership and Test Engineers for product debug areas.
- Participate in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen continuous improvement activities.
- Comply with and follow all company security policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Work on problems of limited scope, following standard practices and procedures to analyze situations or data.
- Learn to use professional concepts and apply company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues.
- Receive detailed instructions on all work and build stable working relationships internally.
- Proficiency in soldering and assembly.
- Strong electrical engineering skills, including schematic interpretation and troubleshooting.
- Experience with electronics, oscilloscopes, test equipment, blueprints, PCB design, and multimeters.
- Ability to debug, solder, and test electronics.
- Competence in utilizing basic hand and power tools.
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience soldering on PCBs.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience testing PCBs.
- An AAS or BSEE degree with a willingness to engage in technical work.
The position is based on-site in a manufacturing setting in Rochester. The work involves hands‑on technical tasks in a collaborative environment, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, MN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
