Compensation
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00 per hour. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay‑for‑performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity. 2402 7th Street NW, Rochester, MN 55901. This location is part of our Applied Health and Nutrition Division and specializes in fermented ingredients for products related to the bio‑science industry. The team focuses on clean label or natural products ensuring freshness.
What You’ll DoThe Runner Operator is responsible for operating equipment and performing diverse job functions on a routine basis. Provides support to wet blending, packaging, liquid receiving, fermentation, and other job areas as assigned. Trains production operators in new and existing practices. Recommends changes to achieve improved efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerforms tasks for Liquid Packaging, Fermentation, Wet Blending, Liquid Receiving, Spray Drying, Powder Packaging, and other areas as assigned. Provides support and relieves relief operators.
Trains production operators in new and existing practices.
Assists team leaders in orientation and development of new joiners.
Floats to other positions and may occasionally work in a number of roles in any given shift.
Operates computer systems including FIX operator interface, Inelex, SAP, and Excel; tracks and records historical trends, and selects recipes, cycles, and chemicals using electronic media.
Follows established procedures and runs setpoints to achieve QC approved products with optimal yields at lowest costs. Recommends changes to achieve improved efficiency.
Washes and cleans equipment per the sanitation manual. Follows GMP program and rules.
Operates forklift and aerial lifts.
Assists other production operators as time/shift allows.
May be certified as a forklift trainer.
Education
:
High school diploma or GED.
Experience
:
None required. Hiring preference will be given to candidates with two or more years’ experience in food production environments and/or experience in key departments. Must have ability to be fully trained in Fermentation, Wet Blending, Liquid Receiving and Spray Drying positions within one year.
Skills
:
Must be able to work alone and in close cooperation with production personnel. Capable of working through complex problems alone or with others to provide logical solutions.
