2nd Shift CNC Operator

Overview

• Operate, monitor and maintain CNC machines according to SOP standards.
• Operate an overhead crane and perform daily safety inspections before use.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, keeping the CNC area free of clutter.
• Perform job duties safely as outlined in the SOPs.
• Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines in accordance with SOPs.
• Visually inspect CNC equipment and tooling for proper functionality.
• Load and edit machine programs; read, analyze and interpret technical procedures for the machine.
• Use measuring equipment and verify each part before and after machining.
• Communicate and troubleshoot within your area and between other areas of the shop as needed.
• Cross‑train on multiple types of equipment and perform other duties assigned by Supervisor or Management.

• Ability to follow technical drawings and specifications with precision.
• Committed to maintaining high production standards and adhering to company quality control procedures.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, materials, and equipment maintenance.
• Proficient with measuring equipment.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret blueprints and technical procedures.
• English speaking and reading proficiency sufficient to converse with the public, read highway signs/signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports/records.
• Basic computer skills and basic math skills.
• Critical thinking skills.

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent preferred; post‑secondary education in machining preferred.
• Experience:
  
  2+ years in machining preferred.
• Systems:
  Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD preferred.

• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Push/pull 100 lbs.
• Stand on feet for long periods during a shift up to 10 hours, with intermittent breaks.
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by Cambria.
• Participate in daily stretch and flex exercises.
• Walk up and down steps multiple times throughout shift.
• Bend over multiple times throughout shift.

• Steel‑toed boots.
• Hearing protection.
• Safety glasses.
• Cut‑proof gloves.

• Hourly rate: $19.00 – $24.00, based on role, level, and location.
