About the Role

The Development Database Administrator is responsible for managing and optimizing True Friends' donor database while ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of fundraising data. This role serves as the organization's database expert, overseeing database administration, gift processing, donor acknowledgements, reporting, and data management processes to support effective fundraising operations and donor stewardship.

Working closely with the Development team, this position provides the technical expertise, reporting support, and database management needed to maintain a high-quality donor database and maximize the effectiveness of fundraising efforts.

Schedule
  • Full Time, Year-Round
  • Monday - Friday with occasional evenings or weekends for special events
Location
  • Flexible work location based on organizational needs, with travel between True Friends and external locations for meetings and events as needed.
Pay
  • $24.32 - $25.88 per hour based on experience
What You'll Do
  • Serve as the organization's subject matter expert for Raiser's Edge NXT and fundraising database management, ensuring the system supports effective fundraising, reporting and donor stewardship
  • Manage and maintain the donor database to ensure data quality, integrity, and accuracy
  • Oversee gift processing, donor acknowledgements, and reconciliation with Finance
  • Develop and maintain quality assurance standards, documentation, and database procedures
  • Create complex reports, queries, mailing lists, and data exports to support fundraising campaigns and organizational reporting
  • Create and maintain reports that track fundraising activity, donor trends, and database metrics to support Development initiatives and organizational reporting
  • Support the Development team by providing accurate data, reporting, and database insights to assist with donor outreach and stewardship
  • Prepare reports for leadership, the Board of Directors, Development Committee, and Finance
  • Manage relationships with database vendors and evaluate system enhancements and technology improvements
  • Provide training and technical support to Development staff to improve database utilization and reporting capabilities
  • Support fundraising events through database preparations, guest management, invitations, registration, and on-site coordination
  • Assist with donor relations initiatives, fundraising campaigns, and other Development projects
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of Raiser's Edge database administration experience, including gift processing, constituent management, reporting, and data import/exports
  • Experience with gift reconciliation and working collaboratively with Finance
  • Knowledge of fundraising principles, donor stewardship, and CRM systems
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
  • Interest in CRM trends, technology improvements, and process optimization
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Must successfully complete all required background checks
