Our home care is a completely certified home care that also offers basic care services to residents in our two independent living buildings on campus. The role includes office work and front line care services.

Compensation & Shift

Compensation: $37.00 – $44.50

Shift: Full time with some weekend coverage.

About the job

The RN role utilizes the nursing process in planning and providing direct care to residents as assigned. As a leader in the organization, the nurse is the person “in charge” according to the Nurse Practice Act. Our person‑centered care approach provides a low nurse‑to‑patient ratio, allowing you to make a real difference in the lives of those in our community.

Essentials
  • Provides leadership and direction in the assigned unit.
  • Open communication with all staff, customers, guests, residents, and families.
  • Follows all shift routines, policy and procedures regarding monitoring of vital signs, weights, medication administration, and treatments.
  • Immediately reports any suspected abuse or neglect per facility policy.
  • Accurately utilizes electronic documentation systems as required.
Required Qualifications
  • Current licensure in the state of employment as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Maintenance of required CEU’s.
  • Good problem solver with ability to make independent judgments utilizing initiative, discretion, and the nursing process.
  • Demonstrates leadership ability.
  • Availability every other weekend.
  • Effective communicator with staff, families, and outside agencies.
  • Ability to prioritize duties.
  • Customer service oriented with knowledge of successful customer service techniques.
  • Clinical competence to perform physical and cognitive assessments of residents.
  • Ability to use computers and other electronic devices for tasks such as timekeeping, in‑service training, and documentation.
  • Must be a team player.
  • Understanding of current Antibiotic Stewardship, Infection Prevention and Control, and OSHA guidelines.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience in long‑term care.
