Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care and education in an outpatient setting.
- Coordinate and deliver peri‑anesthesia care in the pre‑post area.
- Plan, implement, evaluate, and communicate all phases of nursing care for assigned patients.
- Provide leadership through preceptor roles, informal and formal leadership roles, and quality improvement efforts.
- Delegate patient care according to skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability, and resource availability.
- Mentor, teach, and communicate effectively; may serve on committees or projects.
- Depending on the role, may need personal vehicle for driving.
New Graduate Nurses
Apply through the Nurse Residency Program to be matched with a suitable work unit and specialty.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ACEN, CCNE, NLN CNEA).
- One year of professional RN experience.
- Enter‑level associate degree RN with start date April 1 2020 or after must provide baccalaureate degree evidence within five years.
- Associate degree RN with start date before April 1 2020 must provide baccalaureate completion evidence within the required timeframe.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working in a team environment.
- Computer skills required; prior electronic medical record experience preferred.
- Flexible hours including days, evenings, nights, holidays, weekends and on‑call.
- Critical thinking, leadership, and adaptability to unpredictable situations.
Licenses & Certifications
- Current RN license by applicable state requirements.
- BLS valid for 90 days post start date (AHA/Heartcode BLS, Military Training Network, Red Cross CPR/AED).
- Additional specialty certification/training as required.
Compensation
Pay range: $38.64 – $61.64 per hour. Innovative nursing compensation model rewards experience, education, and dedication.
Schedule
Full Time. Monday‑Friday, variable 8‑hour shifts. Weekend schedule to be discussed.
