The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Radiology Pre/Post will use their nursing assessment skills on a multitude of patients ranging from infant to geriatric populations from both the inpatient and outpatient environments. The RN will be caring for patients receiving diagnostic imaging scans and undergoing complex radiologic procedures through detailed nursing assessments and recovering patients post procedure. Candidates must be flexible and able to adjust to a rapidly changing environment, and work with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, technologists, nurses, and others.
Experience preferred, but not required in IV starts, procedures, nursing assessment, recovering patient from sedation, and cardiac monitoring.

Responsibilities include coordination of nursing care, direct patient care, patient/family education, transitions of care, and adherence to the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model. The RN supports professional nursing practice across settings and the continuum of care to meet the needs of the patient and family. The RN will function within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, which includes accountability for planning, implementing, evaluating and communicating all phases of nursing care for assigned patients.
The RN provides leadership through preceptor role, informal and formal leadership roles, quality improvement. The RN delegates patient care according to skill level, experience, patient acuity, fiscal accountability and availability of resources. The RN possesses excellent communication skills; is skillful in mentoring and teaching; may participate on committees or projects. A subset of employees may be required to drive their personal vehicle as part of the responsibility of their role.
This role is eligible for TN sponsorship. Successful sponsorship will require state licensure and completion of the Visa Screen or equivalent certification.
Qualifications- Graduate of a nursing program, as recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).
- One year of professional RN experience is required.
All entry‑level associate degree registered nurses with a RN start date of April 1, 2020 and after must provide documented evidence of program completion of the baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program within five years from the last day of the month of the RN start date.

Additional Qualifications- BSN preferred.
- Recent ICU/PCU/PACU experience preferred in the last 3‑5 years and/or Monitoring/Sedation experience preferred in the last 3‑5 years.
