Location & Compensation

The role covers the West Metro area and is based out of St. Louis Park, MN. This position includes a $5,000 sign‑on bonus paid over the first year. Shift hours: 8 am – 5 pm
, full‑time 40 hrs per week.

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) Hospice provides end‑of‑life care to patients with a terminal diagnosis needing hospice services in their home or community setting.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • State of Minnesota RN licensure in good standing.
  • One year of clinical nursing experience preferred.
  • Experience in Med‑Surg, TCU, LTC, assisted living, home health, or hospice preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record; reliable transportation.
  • CPR certification required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and relationship‑building skills to work with diverse groups.
  • Strong client care planning and teaching skills.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, coordinate, and manage work independently.
  • Proactive ownership, sense of urgency, and creative problem‑solving.
  • Understanding of HIPAA and confidentiality.
  • Assistance with residents’ mobility needs; adherence to safety protocols and proper body mechanics.
  • Effective teamwork and high levels of customer service.
  • Initiative, fast learner, and willingness to seek out client and staff needs.
  • Clear verbal and written communication; fluent in English.
  • Presentation skills to small or large groups.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Follow Sholom safety guidelines and universal precautions.
  • Ability to perform duties of unlicensed staff.
Physical Requirements
  • Heavy lifting up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
  • Push/pull wheelchairs up to 200 pounds across several feet.
  • Vision acuity to read fine print and warning labels.
  • Pass training modules and exhibit competency in medication administration and documentation.
  • Frequent twisting, turning, bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, and reaching.
  • Stand and walk frequently during an eight‑hour shift.
  • Repeat upper‑extremity movements.
  • Exert moderate physical energy for up to eight hours per day.
  • Use manual dexterity for tools and equipment.
  • Flexible schedule including overtime, nights, weekends, and event/meeting attendance.
Tools & Equipment

Incumbent must be able to use communication devices, medical equipment, client assistive equipment, walkers, wheelchairs, electric wheelchairs, telephone, calculators, copy machines, computers, thermometers, blood pressure equipment, oxygen tanks, and related devices.
