- Provide direct patient care during labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, and newborn care.
- Monitor maternal and fetal well‑being throughout labor.
- Interpret fetal monitoring strips and respond appropriately.
- Assist with breastfeeding education and newborn care.
- Care for mother‑baby couplets.
- Perform outpatient OB services including NSTs, iron infusions, labor assessments, circumcisions, and bilirubin checks.
- Educate patients and families throughout labor and postpartum recovery.
- Communicate patient updates to physicians and nursing leadership.
- Assist physicians during procedures and deliveries.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain equipment and supplies.
- Float to other nursing departments when needed.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred.
- Active RN license or eligibility for North Dakota licensure.
- Labor & Delivery or acute care experience preferred.
- New graduates welcome with appropriate orientation.
- BLS certification required (or within 30 days of hire).
- ACLS certification required (or within 60 days of hire).
- NRP certification required (or next available training).
- AWHONN and STABLE preferred.
