Certification Details
- Registered nurse (RN) accountable for coordination of nursing care including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care.
- Supports professional nursing practice across settings and continuum of care to meet patient and family needs.
- Functions within Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model including planning, implementing, evaluating, and communicating nursing care phases.
- Provides leadership through preceptor role, informal leadership, and quality improvement efforts.
- Delegates patient care based on skill, experience, acuity, fiscal accountability, and resources.
- Possesses excellent communication skills; skilled in mentoring and teaching; may participate on committees or projects.
- Specializes in critically ill adult patients with altered cardiac function and hemodynamic instability.
Job Details
- Two years of recent acute nursing experience.
- One year of recent RN travel experience required.
- Two years Cardiac ICU RN experience required.
- Required experience with pulmonary artery catheter, IABP, Impella, advanced hemodynamic monitoring and management, ventilator management.
- Minimum education:
Graduate of accredited baccalaureate, associate, or diploma nursing program recognized by ACEN or CCNE, or one year RN experience in applicable care setting if not accredited or graduated over two years ago. - Current RN license by applicable state requirements.
- Additional specialty certification/training as required by work area.
Job Requirements
- 13 week assignment.
- 36 hours per week.
- Day/Night rotation: and .
- Every third weekend required.
- Floating required as needed.
- 12 hours per day.
Schedule Information
- Cardiac ICU unit.
- Specializing in cardiac intensive care with critically ill adult patients.
- Experience with cardiac devices and advanced hemodynamic monitoring required.
Unit Specific Information
- Preferred by manager: CCRN.
