Mayo Clinic midwives provide antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care to women delivering at Mayo Clinic’s flagship location in Rochester, Minnesota. Midwives provide prenatal care through in‑person and telehealth visits expanding access to services based on patient preference. As a unit, obstetric team members assist in the delivery of more than 2,400 babies each year.
Masters or Doctoral prepared graduate of an ACME accredited nurse‑midwifery school. Current MN APN license and Board certified in midwifery from AMCB. Body mobility, coordinated dexterity of hands, ears, and eyes; sensory acuity, and verbal ability are required.
BLS certification and NRP certification required.
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience as a teacher or preceptor in an academic medical center
- Participation in quality improvement or research projects
- Expertise in multidisciplinary team collaboration are desirable
