** Key Position Details:
*** Casual (0.0 FTE)
* 8 or 10- hour day shifts
* No weekends
* Minimum of 2 shifts per month required
* Float to metro sites, including Minneapolis and Coon Rapids based on staffing needs in accordance with the MNA Contract; opportunity to pick up sifts at all three sites

* Job Description:

** Manages patient care infusion encounters by utilizing a systematic approach to nursing practice that includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act. This includes collaborating with multidisciplinary hematology/oncology care team members, along with internal and external ancillary partners, in a fast-paced environment. Dedicated to the growth and development of the Allina Health Cancer Institute, incorporating evidence-based practice initiatives that align with ONS, NCCN, COC, and organizational standards of care.

** Principle Responsibilities
*** Delivery of chemotherapy, biotherapy and supportive care to hematology/oncology patients in accordance with Nurse Practice Act, recognized professional standards, and Allina Health Cancer Institute Policy.
* Completes Patient Assessment and Education.
* Collaborates with health care team in order to coordinate and maintain continuity of care.
* Administrative tasks including indirect nursing activities which promote quality patient care.
* Documentation of care per Allina Health Cancer Institute policies and practice.
* Maintains overall accountability/responsibility for assigned patients
* Complies with research protocols.
* Other duties as assigned.
** Required Qualifications
*** Associate's or Vocational degree in Nursing
* 1+ years of ambulatory oncology RN experience with proficient IV insertion skills; or 3+ years inpatient chemotherapy/biotherapy infusion or ICU experience
** Preferred Qualifications
*** Bachelor's degree in Nursing
* 1+ years Peripheral IV Insertion skills
* 1+ years Phlebotomy skills
* 1+ years experience EPIC EMR, including Beacon application
** Licenses/Certifications
*** ONS Fundamentals of Chemotherapy Provider Card required upon completion of Allina onboarding, within 30 days of hire
* Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) from the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation must be obtained within 3 years of hire required for those hired before April 1, 2024; for those hired on/after April 1, 2024, must obtain within 30 months
* Licensed Registered Nurse – MN Board of Nursing required
* Must meet at least ONE of the requirements below:
◦ Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association    ◦ Current BLS certification from the American Red Cross    ◦ Allina in-house BLS training (within 30 days of hire)

** Pay Range**### Pay Range: $42.92 to $66.83 per hour### The pay described reflects the base hourly pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
