Travel RN - Cardiovascular ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CV Surgery ICU position requiring active MN RN licensure and prior CVICU or acute care ICU experience.

• Active MN RN license required, no pending license accepted
• Current BLS and ACLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross) required
• CCRN certification preferred
• 2 years of recent acute care ICU nursing experience required, CVS ICU experience preferred
• 6 months of recent travel nursing experience required, 1 year preferred, and/or 3 total travel assignments
• Experience with VAD, Impella, ECMO, and balloon pumps preferred
• Must pass ECG exam during orientation to continue assignment
• Graduate of an accredited baccalaureate, associate, or diploma nursing program (ACEN or CCNE); additional experience required if program not accredited or graduation not within the last two years

• Work in the CV Surgery ICU of a hospital setting
• 13-week assignment at 36 hours per week with option for 48 hours guaranteed to be discussed at offer
• Day/Night rotation  and ) and straight nights ), including every 3rd weekend
• Floating required as needed
• Cardiac monitoring/telemetry required, including ability to read strips
• Uses Epic for charting
• Coordinate direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model
• Provide leadership through mentoring, teaching, and quality improvement efforts
• Delegate patient care according to skill level, experience, patient acuity, and available resources
• Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week assignment due to low census
• Travelers may remain on assignment up to one calendar year from initial start date, after which a 30-60 day break is required before returning
